I do not want to be pessimistic bout all of this..but in my opinion there is nothing will change, they will stay in that micro**** course and we all get nailed by this ****. I wonder, how many peeps will discontinue to pay and leave the game.

Eve's martyrs there have been many.
Remember the people who said the whole "Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq" story was a hoax and the "dodgy dossier"? Remember how they were called unpatriotic? UnAmerican? Terrorists? Lost their jobs? Got dragged through the mud?
Last year. The year before. The year before that.
Eve had those people.
They did find WMD's in Iraq bro. They were disarmed from the first war and buried. BUT WE STILL FOUND THEM!!!
are u serious?? U get brainvashed too?

Where is some link to the original Hilmar's E-mail? That one where he told to not listen to us?

Currently we are seeing _very predictable feedback_ on what we are doing. Having the perspective of having done this for a decade, I can tell you that this is one of the moments where we look at what our players do and less of what they say. Innovation takes time to set in and the predictable reaction is always to resist change.
We went out with a decisive strategy on pricing and we will stay the course and not flip flop around or knee jerk react to the predictable. That is not saying nothing will change, on the contrary, in fact we know that success in this space is through learning and adapting to _what is actually happening_ and new knowledge gained in addition to what we knew before and expected.

1 monocular = ~4 plexes, 4 plexes = ~70 $, 70$x52= 3640$ in 40 hours... now just tell me why they will refuse this flow of money..they are happy, we are not, but what's the matter? Those who will stay here and will buy such s*it will do for them, even more, they will get more revenue then we all stay here and pay subscribes. Simple.

There not going to be selling that many monocles now that the newness has worn off. Also people were buying plexs pre patch speculating on selling the vanity items as soon as they came out so thats another reason that sales rate is inflated.
disagree. They will drop something new to NEX and those few who bought it for real money will buy it again, and some will join to em.

We live in interesting times; in fact the EVE players are the kind of base that if CCP tries to implement a misdirected play-to-win scheme, they instinctively crank up their voice notch or ten. That, they certainly have done this week. First off we have Incarna, an amazing patch that was untested technological and left many users with over-headed computers and graphics cards while at the same time needlessly encumbering the docking and fitting process. A vision from years ago went unrealized and no one could have imaged how hard Incarna failed; we still dream however. The rollout went with some negative feedback; in some cases negative feedback came faster than what had before, this is the pinnacle of professional achievement for failing to provide quality testing. For all the noise in the channel we should all stand heads lowered, years from now this is what people will remember.
But we have done more, not only have we redefined the production quality lapses one can apply to virtual worlds with the cumbersome and bugged Incarna but we have also defined what it really means to mistakenly believe in your own corporate spin as true and force a new money grab scheme via a new virtual goods currency, Aurum.
Naturally, we have caught the attention of the world, but not in the way expected or envisioned by our PR manager. Only a few weeks ago we revealed more information about DUST 514 and now we have done it again by committing to redefining how EVE has operated for the last eight years, regardless of assumptions made to the contrary. After 40 hours we have already sold 52 monocles, generating more revenue than any of the other items in the store which we will use to fly in the CSM to Iceland on an emergency basis to help us figure out how to make 4,000+ canceled subscriptions return.
This we have done after months of research by a group of highly incompetent and self-delusional professionals, soliciting input and perspective from Zulu (almost exclusively) and experts in our coffee lounge. We have communicated our intention here internally in very wide circles through the Virtual Economy Summit presentation at the GSM, our Fearless newsletter, sprint reviews, email lists and multiple other channels which some spiteful employee leaked to the EVE community. This should not come as a surprise to anyone that EVE players shut down the trade hubs, they were not to be informed prior to patching in the new gold-ammo.
Currently we are seeing ôvery predictable feedbackö on what we are doing but not on the predicted scale. Having the perspective of having done this for a decade, I can tell you that this is one of the moments where we look at what our players do and less of what they say. Unfortunately, so far what they say and what they do has been the same thing, leading to our current predicament. Innovation takes courage to be upfront with your users and when we lay the ground work to implement what the players do not want and what we have said we would not implement, the predictable reaction is always to resist change.
We went out with a decisive strategy on pricing and we will stay the course and not flip flop around or knee jerk react to the predictable because we need that new income to pay for the CSM flights and our two other games in development. That is not saying nothing will change, on the contrary, in fact we know that success in this space is through learning and adapting to ôwhat is actually happeningö and new knowledge gained from begging the CSM for help. ...
a ha ha ha I LOL'ed much!
